What is breast reduction
Breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to achieve a breast size more proportionate to the body. This procedure alleviates discomfort associated with overly large breasts, such as back, neck, and shoulder pain, and helps improve posture and physical activity levels. The goal is to create smaller, lighter, and more aesthetically pleasing breasts while enhancing overall body balance and reducing physical discomfort.
Is breast reduction for me?
Breast reduction may be suitable for you if you experience physical discomfort due to overly large breasts, such as back, neck, or shoulder pain. It is also ideal if you have skin irritation, grooves from bra straps, or difficulty participating in physical activities.

If you have any of these symptoms, this operation is indeed for you.
During the procedure
During a breast reduction, anesthesia is administered for patient comfort. The surgeon makes incisions based on the chosen technique, often around the areola, vertically down, and along the breast crease. Excess breast tissue, fat, and skin are removed to reduce the breast size. The remaining breast tissue is reshaped and lifted to create a more youthful contour. The nipple and areola are repositioned, and sometimes the areola size is reduced. Finally, the incisions are closed with sutures, and the breasts are bandaged for support during healing.
