What is partial breast recon
Partial breast reconstruction, also known as oncoplastic surgery, is a procedure performed after a lumpectomy, where only a portion of the breast tissue is removed due to cancer. The goal is to restore the breast's shape and appearance by using techniques that rearrange the remaining breast tissue. Sometimes, tissue from the back may be used to fill in the defect. This approach allows for the preservation of as much natural breast tissue as possible while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing result.
Is partial breast recon for me?
Partial breast reconstruction may be suitable for you if you have undergone a lumpectomy to remove a portion of your breast tissue due to cancer. This procedure is ideal if you wish to restore the shape and appearance of your breast while preserving as much natural tissue as possible.

If you have any of these wishes, this operation is indeed for you.

During the procedure
During total breast reconstruction, autologous tissue reconstruction may be done, where tissue from another part of the body, such as the abdomen or thigh, is used to form the new breast. Alternatively, implant-based reconstruction involves placing silicone or saline implants to recreate the breast shape. Sometimes, a combination of both techniques is employed for a more natural result. The procedure often involves multiple stages, including initial reconstruction and later refinements.
