What is a facelift
A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is aimed at improving visible signs of aging in the face and neck. It involves removing excess skin, tightening underlying tissues, and repositioning the skin on the face and neck. The goal is to reduce sagging, smooth deep folds, and enhance the overall contour of the face, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. The procedure can address issues such as jowls, deep cheek folds, and loose neck skin.
Is a face lift for me?
A facelift may be right for you if you have noticeable signs of aging, such as sagging skin, deep facial folds, jowls, or loose neck skin. This procedure is ideal for those seeking a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

If you have any of these symptoms, this operation is indeed for you.

During the procedure
During a facelift, incisions are made around the hairline and ears, to minimize visible scarring. The skin is then lifted, and underlying tissues and muscles are lifted and pulled upwards in a deep plane facelift or tightened in a "supra-SMAS" facelift. The type of facelift varies by patient and will be discussed during the consultation. Excess skin is removed to create a smoother, more youthful contour. The skin is then repositioned over the newly enhanced facial structure and the incisions are closed with sutures.
